HERSHEY - The Clearfield Wrestling team found itself outgunned by Blue Mountain in its first loss of the season, 47-24, in the second round of the PIAA Team Wrestling Championships Friday morning in Hershey's Giant Center.

Blue Mountain, who entered the match-up ranked fourth in the state by the PA Power Rankings, then, had a 12-1 season record. The Eagle team's only loss had came at the hands of second-ranked Northampton by a 47-19 score at the end of January.

Prior to meeting Clearfield, the Eagles had outscored their opponents 1,432 - 546, with more than 850 of those points coming via fall. Seven Eagle wrestlers had also climbed into either the PA Wrestling or Power Rankings.

Five Bison, however, still managed wins, including falls from both seniors Sean Owen and Shawn Hall at 285 and 160 pounds, respectively.

Owen took the mat against state-ranked Graeff Keith, who currently sits in the ninth spot in the PA Power and 11th in the PA Wrestling standings.

Graeff entered the match-up with a 30-8 record that listed 23 falls while only giving up three.

Owen upped his record to 31-0, decking the Eagle heavyweight at the 5:10 mark. The returning state champion has now collected 27 falls for the year.

At 160, Bison Shawn Hall needed only 2:55 to get the fall over Blue Mountain's Jarrod Kunkel.

Clearfield's Andre Buck (215, 17-10) and Shane Harper (140, 9-6) picked up decision wins, while teammate Derek Danver earned a forfeit win at 145 pounds.

Clearfield will return to action at 6 p.m. in the first round of consolations.
